John not showing up was a bit of a disappointment to me, too! But think of it this way, the boys are a lot more settled with each other now than they were at the end of Consent, so it will be all that more powerful when John comes in and upsets everything... Yeah, the John in my head isn't evil or anything, but he's really not going to be happy when he finds out what his sons are doing... he'll definitely be the focus of the next story!
