Dark and Angsty with a splash of Hope

Okay, I'm officially moving away from LiveJournal. I will not agree to their terms of service. My goal is to post part three of my consent verse by the end of the summer '17. At 35,000 words, it is nearing completion. If anyone is looking to Alpha or Beta, lemme know by dropping me a line! :)

So, the lovely and talented Reaper has committed herself to doing ten (YES, 10!!!) illustrations for my little story. ::Bounces:: But, what with Real Life continuously and obnoxiously interfering with our porn plans time and again, finishing this epic and so very generous task is taking a little longer than we were hoping. Therefore, with a sad and heavy heart, I must announce once again that we are moving our post date a little further out.

HOWEVER, for those of you who have been epically patient, I feel I must finally deliver on the goods, or risk permanently losing you all as friends. I will therefore be posting the story tonight under filtered friends lock. If you are already on my friends list and I know you want to read it, you will be included automatically. If you are already on my friends list and you want to be be included, drop me a comment here.

They both thought Castiel had found a way to keep Lucifer from finding them. Neither one of them knew how wrong they really were.

Master Post | Part One

So I finally got with the times and opened an account on delicious under my lj name: Varkelton. I write what I like to read, so if you like the same things, feel free to take a gander at my tags. Most of them are public, and I'm trying to keep them pretty organized. If you notice that something you think I'd like has not been tagged, feel free to tell me about it in comments. Also, at the moment, it's pretty heavily dominated by stuff I haven't read, but that should be gradually changing over time.

Also, I'm finally down to the epilogue on the story from hell (The World Devours Me, for those who aren't keeping track), so my patient betas should be getting something soon. :)

Okay, I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and confess that I was premature in announcing the completion of The World Devours Me a couple of weeks ago. When I re-read the story, I realized that the ending was completely inadequate for the story that I wanted to tell, and one of my betas has suggested that adding in Dean POV would help the pacing a lot, and I agree. So, I'm still writing. The only consolation prize I can offer is that the story is already 10,000 words longer than I said it was in my previous post, and much of that is comfort. I'm reasonably certain that the story will be far stronger when I'm done. The things that have been getting in the way of writing for the last 10 months are now over, so hopefully it will only be a few more weeks.

Here, I will distract you with some pretty...
